I often start the Dawnguard quest & play just far enough to get Serana, and The companions just long enough to get Farkass just before getting the first shard of Wuuthrad.
Now I have a vampire & a werewolf fighting by my side...even if Farkas refuses to change into one.

I love how that goat is just there like, "Don't mind me." For a moment I thought they were attached.
